Oak Harbor Conservation Club - 60th Anniversary/ Open House

We are having a 60th Anniversary/ Open House on August 16, 2008.

This event will be free and open to the public. It will include, displays, Shooting & Archery demonstrations, wildlife restoration projects and much more! Also free food will be offered to the public.

Hunting/Fishing/Boating/Camping/Conservation oriented groups have been invited to set up displays. Factory/dealer participation is being encouraged.

We are quite proud of our facilities, we have a 25 and a 50 Yd. indoor range and a 150 Yd. outdoor range at the club house. We have acquired an additional 408 acres of farm land we are restoring to wetlands and upland habitant.

Buckeye Gun Skills Challenge
Join a small, select group of fellow Ohioans to brush up on your gun skills. This special event is open to just 40 participants and will give you a full day of shooting experience and plenty of family-friendly fun. Gun handling tips, target shooting, and IDPA-style scenario shoots.

Directions: From US 27 in Oxford Ohio, travel north on College Ave. until it turns into Brown Road at the north edge of town. Travel North on Brown Road about 1 mile. The club is located at 5703 Brown Road, on a gravel drive on the left side of the road at the point where Brown Road makes a sharp turn.

Cost: $75 per shooter. Profits benefit Buckeye Firearms Association.

RECERTIFICATION BONUS: NRA pistol instructors will be on hand to help you renew your Ohio Concealed Handgun License Training Certification. Your new certificate will be good for 6 years! (This will not renew your CCW license, only your required training certificate.)

Reservations are limited to 40 shooters and will be accepted on a strict first come, first serve basis. This event will fill up FAST! Register now!

Tax Credit: Ohio tax law currently allows an individual to contribute $50 to a candidate for state representative and then receive that $50 back as a credit on their Ohio income tax return. That means that an Ohio couple that files their taxes jointly can give $100 to our campaign, and receive that $100 back as a credit.
