There are more stories pertaining to our gun rights in Ohio then we can possibly draw attention to with individual daily commentary. But they are all worthy of mention.
What follows is our review of headlines from around the state though a pro-gun rights lens.
From an 18 year-old woman being abducted in a "gun-free" zone and sexually assaulted, to an increase in gun club membership, these articles should be a part of your required reading!
What follows is several days of headlines accompanied by short, concise pro-gun analysis.
1/13/09: Dayton, Ohio: 3 Men Wanted In Circle K Robbery
From the article:
Officers said three men, one of them who was armed with a gun, walked in the store and demanded money.
Thankfully, nobody was hurt, but this incident should serve as a warning. Always be prepared to defend yourself.
1/12/09: Bay Village, Ohio: Woman Says She Was Abducted, Forced To Perform Sex Act

An 18-year-old woman was abducted Saturday while leaving her job at the Regal Theater in the Promenade shopping center.
The Promenade is a so called "gun-free" zone, because the owners have posted its parking lots. There was another kidnapping and rape there about a year or two ago. How many more woman will be kidnapped and raped before the management realize that they created a criminal protection zone?
1/12/09: State Wide: This Hunting Season Isn't Over Yet, But Already DOW Is Making Changes

There's still three weeks left in this winter's deer hunting season, but the folks at the Ohio Division of Wildlife have seen enough, that they've already made proposals for the 2009-10 deer hunting season.
The one major PROPOSED change is moving the muzzleloader season back to January from its late December dates of recent years.

Teaching gun safety unquestionably is the most important things for young shooters, but you'll want them to learn accuracy, too. It's frustrating to shoot at pheasants, rabbits and other game if they never hit anything.
Education is very important. Gun safety classes should be part of the mandatory curriculum in our schools.
1/10/09: Berea, Ohio: Snow Does Not Discourage Potential Gun Buyers

While many Northeast Ohio residents were reluctant to hit the snow-covered highways Saturday, Walters said his customers had no such reservations. The gun show will be at the fairgrounds 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
I wish more people took the threat that Obama has on our Second Amendment rights this serious BEFORE the election.
1/7/09: Colerain Township: Suspect Killed In Colerain Twp. Home Invasion

Police are investigating after a suspect accused of breaking into a Colerain Township home was shot and killed in a gun fight with the homeowner Tuesday night.
Thanks to a gun, the homeowner is alive and was able to defend himself from armed home invaders.
