Back to School: Crime Alerts Issued After Capital Students Report Sexual Assaults

While Ohio's public and private colleges and universities remain opposed to campus carry, today they have recommitted their institutions to the safety of their students.

"We promise our students, their parents and loved ones, that we are committed to dealing with crime on campus. As this incident shows, we will firmly deal with violent crime by swiftly informing the campus community that a crime has already occured, issuing press releases and generally otherwise acting concerned within 6-8 hours after the fact. This most recent event is an excellent opportunity to remind our students and staff of our volunteer, unarmed, untrained escort service. If this doesn't work, we stand ready to immediately plunge into full-fledged candlelight vigils and take back the night rallies. Even installing additional emergency phones is not off the table."

Or something like that....
