BFA PAC announces first round of 2016 endorsements
Buckeye Firearms Association Political Action Committee (BFA PAC) is proud to announce our first round of endorsements for the 2016 general election to be held on November 8, 2016.
We are issuing our first endorsements to those who have spent their time in office doing the most work for our members and supporters. That starts with Sheriffs. Click here to see our Sheriff endorsements.
From January 2013, when their terms started, through June 2016 (the latest data available), Ohio Sheriffs issued nearly 300,000 Concealed Handgun Licenses (CHLs) and renewed another 165,000. Ohio sheriffs are on pace to issue well over one half-million CHLs during their four-year terms. They have already issued more licenses this term than all prior years combined. That is getting the job done!
We thank all Ohio Sheriffs who are doing a great job, not just as the head law enforcement officer of their county, but also as the head administrator taking applications, performing background checks and issuing CHLs.
From the first days of debate on concealed carry, the sheriffs, who are elected by the people, have stood with the people and against the political nonsense that delayed our concealed carry program. The Buckeye State Sheriff’s Association testified for your right to carry firearms. They have continued to be a partner in fixing problems with Ohio’s concealed carry law.
Other endorsements will follow. Check the website or sign up for our newsletter for the latest endorsements.
Candidates seeking an endorsement should complete our survey.
