Buckeye Firearms Assoc. endorsees dominate House majority leadership in 129th General Assembly
Buckeye Firearms Association endorsees have been elected by Republicans and Democrats to a majority of leadership positions in their respective caucuses for the 129th General Assembly.
House Republicans have picked "A" -rated former BFA endorsee Rep. William Batchelder (R-Medina) as speaker for the 129th General Assembly.
Other "A" -rated former endorsees in leadership include Rep. Lou Blessing, speaker pro tem, Rep. Matt Huffman, majority floor leader; Rep. Barbara Sears, assistant majority floor leader; Rep. John Adams, majority whip. "B" -rated former endorsee Rep. Cheryl Grossman will serve as assistant majority whip.
Also selecting leadership this week for the 2011-2012 legislative cycle were Senate Democrats. Caucus members selected former Buckeye Firearms Association endorsee Sen. Capri Cafaro to continue her roll as Senate minority leader; "D" -rated Senators Shirley Smith and Edna Brown were selected to as assistant minority leader and minority whip; and former Buckeye Firearms Association endorsee Sen. Jason Wilson will again serve as assistant minority whip.
