Butler Co. Sheriff Richard Jones discusses call to arms for civilian staff on NRANews.com
Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones is receiving international attention for his decision to urge his civilian staff with a valid Ohio concealed handgun license (CHL) to carry their firearms within the department’s headquarters at 705 Hanover St. in Hamilton, OH.
Sheriff Jones is also encouraging employees to carry their weapon while operating any department vehicle away from the headquarters.
Jones' call came via a memo issued in the wake of recent attacks against police officers across the country.
He discussed the memo, and other issues, on a recent episode of NRANews.com's Cam & Co.
Soon, Buckeye Firearms Association's political action committee (BFA-PAC), will begin issuing endorsements of sheriffs in Ohio. If you believe your county sheriff should be considered, PLEASE encourage them to contact us to request a candidate survey.
