"F-Troop": Obama picks fellow gun ban extremist as running mate

Now that Barack Obama has announced Delaware Senator Joe Biden as his running mate, it can be said with assurance that there could be no greater anti-Second Amendment ticket put together for Democrats if Sarah Brady hand-picked them herself.

Former Joyce Foundation board member Barack Obama's anti-gun record has already been well documented on this website. His own NRA F-rated record is matched in his running mate by a much longer NRA F-rated one.

According to OntheIssues.org, Biden, who during his tenure as Judiciary Committee chairman was very effective in pushing gun control legislation, also:

Voted NO on prohibiting lawsuits against gun manufacturers.

Voted NO on banning lawsuits against gun manufacturers for gun violence.

Voted YES on background checks at gun shows.

Voted NO on more penalties for gun & drug violations.

Voted NO on loosening license & background checks at gun shows.

Rated F by the NRA, indicating a pro-gun control voting record.

Few gun owners will have forgotten Biden's snide mockery of gun owners in a CNN/YouTube Presidential debate, in which he also bragged about being the author of the 1994 Clinton Gun Ban. Biden was also behind the 'Assault Weapons Ban Renewal Act of 2007', which in addition to renewing the Clinton Gun Ban, also sought to enact magazine size restrictions and mandatory background checks of private transactions at gun shows.

It now remains to be seen if John McCain, a NRA C-rated candidate who polls show has a long way to go to earn the trust of gun owners, will choose a pro-gun candidate that will lift his party's ticket to the clear favorite among our nation's Second Amendment defenders in the voting booth.
