FASTER Saves Lives Director Joe Eaton on Fox News Discussing Armed Teachers
HB 99, a Buckeye Firearms Association-backed bill approved by the legislature and signed by Gov. DeWine in June, officially became law on Sept. 12, 2022.
The new law not only reverses a bad Ohio Supreme Court ruling that effectively shut down all security programs in the state that included armed school staff, it went even further and created a Ohio School Safety Crisis Center and the Ohio Mobile Training Team. This new program is tasked with developing a curriculum and providing instruction and training for individuals authorized by local school boards to carry firearms in school safety zones.
Joe Eaton, Director of FASTER Saves Lives, sponsored by Buckeye Firearms Foundation, appeared on Fox News Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022, to discuss why giving schools the option of armed teachers makes Ohio schools safer.
Dean Rieck is Executive Director of Buckeye Firearms Association, a former competitive shooter, NRA Patron Member, #1 NRA Recruiter for 2013, business owner and partner with Second Call Defense.
