FLASH: AG Cordray files motion for stay pending appeal of 8th Circuit ruling on Cleveland preemption challenge
Attorney General Richard Cordray has asked for the Cleveland Appellate Court to stay their order finding R.C. 9.68 unconstitutional.
A stay means that the Appellate Court's decision will not be in force while the Supreme Court considers the case and issues their decision.
AG Cordray is representing the state of Ohio in this case against the City of Cleveland. A stay, which should be granted, will protect gun owners until a final decision is reached.
It is our expectation that the OSC will reverse the Cleveland Appellate Court's decision.
