Get your application in for the NRA Youth Education Summit
Fairfax, Virginia - This year's Youth Education Summit looked like they had a lot of fun, didn't they? For all you high school Sophomores and Juniors out there, YOU could be a part of next year's week-long trip to Washington, D.C.
The NRA is currently accepting applications for the 2013 National Youth Education Summit - a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
The summit doesn't take place until Monday, June 24 - 30 next summer, but applications need to be in by February 18!
At Y.E.S., you'll have multiple scholarship opportunities, develop leadership, public speaking, and debating skills, increase your awareness and appreciation of American government, visit NRA headquarters, get introduced to the shooting sports and so much more - really!
There's never a dull moment during the week-long trip. Whether you're seeing one of the great sights in the Washington D.C. area or meeting people who make our nation great, there's always something happening.

The application process is highly competitive consisting of a Second Amendment essay, personal statement, high school transcript and three recommendations.
If you're from Alaska, North Carolina or Pennsylvania, there's a state Y.E.S. program you need to go through before you can apply to the National Y.E.S.Learn about them here.
Although a lot of Y.E.S. applicants have prior experience with the shooting sports, it's not required to be accepted. Your application is judged solely on GPA, well-roundedness of activities, your Second Amendment essay, Personal Statement and recommendations.
