Job Opening: Spring Valley Shooting Range Looking for Range Attendant
Our good friends at ODNR Division of Wildlife are looking for a part time Range Attendant to work at the Spring Valley Shooting Range, which is undergoing upgrades and improvements. Here's the job announcement:
Seasonal Position
ODNR Division of Wildlife
Position: Natural Resources Technician
Duration: Year around, intermittent
Duties: Assist Range Attendant with daily shooting range operation (check range permits, answer general questions from the public concerning the range, enforce range rules, etc.). Range maintenance (grounds maintenance, light cleaning, building and replacing target holders, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications: Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication & division & in reading & speaking common English vocabulary; valid driver’s license; valid Commercial Driver’s License required if motor equipment is of type & size regulated by Section 4506.01 & 4506.12 of Ohio Revised Code.
Additional Qualifications: Ability to complete Range Safety Officer training. Experience in basic firearm operation and safe handling. Effective communications skills both written and verbal. The ability to lift 50 pounds to shoulder height.
Hours: 20 hrs./week; half-day Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Pay Rate: $15.34/hr.
