Man defends own life during attempted armed robbery
Columbus media are reporting that a Franklinton man was able to defend his life when an assailant attempted to rob him at gunpoint.
From WCMH (NBC Columbus):
When officers arrived on scene, they found 28-year-old David A. Mullins in the rear of the address suffering from gunshot wounds.
Mullins was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, at the same time as the initial call of the shooting, another call was received from a man saying he had shot a person who had tried to rob him at gunpoint.
Police said initial evidence in the investigations indicates Mullins appeared to have been attempting a robbery when the shooting occurred.
Police have not released name the victim of the attempted robbery, and it was not reported whether or not he is a concealed handgun license-holder.
