Two armed men robbing customers at "no-guns" Fifth-Third bank ATMs

WSYX (ABC Columbus) is reporting that six armed robberies have been carried out at central Ohio banks, most of which occurred at Fifth-Third bank branches, which are posted with "no-guns" signs.

"They are sliding up alongside of the car, producing a handgun, and demanding cash," said Det. Regina Dudley with Crime Stoppers.

The first hold-up happened on April 11, 2015, at 6:43am, at Fifth Third Bank, 6935 E Main St, Reynoldsburg Police say as the victim was making a transaction the suspect walked up from behind to the driver's door, pointed a handgun at the victim and said "I just need $400.00." After the victim complied, the suspect said "Sorry," and ran away.

The report says another robbery occurred at a different Reynoldsburg bank on June 7, while the victim was at the night depository. According to the report, two subjects approached, with one of the suspects striking the victim, causing him to fall. While standing over the victim, one of the suspects produced a handgun and said "give me all you got," but ended up fleeing on foot without anything.

Det. Dudley tells us during one crime, the suspects struck one of the victims forcing him to the ground, "they have gotten violent," she said.

The third robbery happened on June 13, 2015, at the Fifth Third Bank, 6935 E. Main St in Reynoldsburg. Authorities say while withdrawing from the ATM, the victim was approached by two thugs, one on each side of the car. Police tell us both suspects pointed a gun at the victim, made the victim turn off the car ignition and demanded $500.00. After compliance, both suspects fled south on foot.

On July 23, 2015, robbers returned to the Fifth Third Bank on E. Main St. in Reynoldsburg for the third time since April. The suspect, while pointing a gun at the victim said, "Give me all your money." Crime Stoppers say the woman gave the crook what she had, $20.00, which enraged the suspect, who then racked the slide back on the gun in a threatening manner. He ordered the victim to drop her keys and ID on the ground.

The suspect made two additional withdrawals from the ATM before picking up the victim's ID, reading it, and then fled south from the area on foot.

The most recent robbery happened on Saturday August 1, 2015, at 6:00am, at the Fifth Third Bank, 3011 E. Broad St. The victim was waiting for cash to be dispensed when the suspect came towards the car, yelling "Hey, Hey..." The victim sped away honking the car horn. The suspect took the cash from the ATM.

According to the report, in some cases, the crooks were not done after stealing the cash; they continued to terrorize the victims, demanding they throw wallets and purses out onto the parking lot, so they can have personal information about the innocent customers.

"They are saying if you tell anyone or give me up that you've been robbed, I will find you," said Dudley.

The suspects are described as: Male/Black, with one having a very light complexion or being white, wearing dark clothing and partially concealing their faces with scarves and hoodies, 5'8"-6'0", thin to average build.
