National Rifle Association Foundation License Plate Reinstated in Ohio
I am excited to announce that the Ohio Department of Public Safety has once again brought back the “special” license plate representing the National Rifle Association’s Foundation. It is available immediately on www.Oplates.com or by visiting your local BMV office.
Years ago, the BMV had this license plate available, but had a high standard of requiring over 100 special plates be purchased per year. That number has now been reduced to 25 per year. There is an additional cost of $15 annual fee, with $5 going to NRA Foundation, and the remaining $10 as a BMV fee.
This “special” NRA Foundation plate can be issued to any Ohio vehicle owner or lessee and is available for passenger vehicles, noncommercial trucks, motor homes, house vehicles and noncommercial trailers.
I would like to thank those who worked with me to help bring this special plate back, including Ohio Dept. of Public Safety Chief of Staff Curt Mayhew, Secretary of the NRA John Frazer and anyone else involved. Now I ask the Second Amendment supporters of Ohio, please purchase this plate so that the results of our efforts are not wasted.
