Our endorsed candidates need your support on May 8!

Next Tuesday is Election Day. Early voting has been going on for three weeks. Our endorsed candidates need your support.

Primary elections don’t get the media attention that general elections do, but they may be more important for you to vote in. There is lower voter turnout in primaries, meaning each vote represents a bigger percentage of the total. Total vote differences can be much less than in a general. In short, you vote is more powerful. Make sure to use it.

To ensure good candidates win in November, they must be on the ballot. That means winning their primary. If the best candidates lose their primary, we all lose in November.

We have endorsed Mike DeWine and Jon Husted for Governor and Lt. Governor in the Republican primary. The last several years have been frustrating times in the Ohio Statehouse. It’s time to break the status quo. We need an administration that will work with us to enact results-oriented, good policy. I have communicated with many that questioned “why” we endorsed in this race, and with those who thought this was a mistake. After all the dialog, I remain convinced that DeWine/Husted is the right ticket for us.

We have endorsed Robert Sprague for Treasurer in the Republican primary. These are our only two statewide primary endorsements.

We have endorsed in many State Representative and State Senator races, State Central Committee, County Commissioner and judicial contests. Every election matters, and every vote counts. Not voting is giving power and control to your adversaries.

We have identified several “key races” that are critical to win. If you live in one of these districts you should have received an email asking for specific help. We do not donate huge money to campaigns – we can't. What we do have is thousands of people like you. People who will vote for our endorsed candidates and even volunteer to help this weekend or on election day. Putting those “boots on the ground” is where our power comes from. Without you helping our endorsed candidates we lack the power to move legislation. With your support, we can accomplish anything. You are the engine that drives the bus.
