Hi-Point Firearms Voluntarily Closes its Doors for COVID-19

The following has been posted on the website of Ohio-based Hi-Point Firearms:

As you may have heard, the state of Ohio has joined many others in shutting down all non-essential business to help fight the spread of the Corona Virus.

Although the firearm industry has been listed as exempt in this order, our number one priority has to be the safety, health, and well-being of our employees. As such, as of March 23, 2020, we have made the difficult decision to shut down all operations, including accessory sales and repairs until further notice.

Please know this decision did not come lightly. Also know that your firearm is still covered under our industry leading lifetime warranty, and we will be here to serve you as soon as we can. If your firearm is already on site for repair, trust that we will do everything in our power to get it fixed and returned to you as quickly as possible, but delays are unavoidable.

A stay-at-home order issued by the Ohio Department of Health specifically exempts retailers and suppliers that sell or manufacture firearms and ammunition from the long list of businesses that have been ordered to close.
