Keep and Bear Radio in Top 5% of All Podcasts
Since its debut on January 27, 2021, the Keep and Bear Radio podcast has steadily grown in popularity. After just 30 episodes, it now ranks in the top 5% of all podcasts.
Featuring fun and frank discussions about gun rights at the state and national level, Keep and Bear Radio has tackled a wide range of topics, including the causes of the ammo shortage, why the medical profession turned anti-gun, self-defense tips and tactics, the national media's obsession with gun control, ways TV and movies spread misinformation about guns, how armed teachers make schools safer, and more.
"I'm glad we started a podcast," said Dean Rieck, Executive Director of Buckeye Firearms Association, and host of Keep and Bear Radio. "It's a lot of work, but people are less inclined to read articles on websites these days.
"Podcasts let us have a more in-depth discussion of important topics and do it in a way that's easier for people to access. You can listen to podcasts in your car, while you're working, or anytime."
Keep and Bear Radio publishes a new episode every Monday morning, each about 20-30 minutes long.
It's hosted on the Podbean platform, but it's also available on Apple, Google, Spotify, iHeartRadio, and everywhere podcasts are found. You can even subscribe (for free) to hear every episode.
How to Listen to Podcasts on Your Mobile Phone
According to recent statistics, there are more than 2 million podcasts on every subject imaginable. And more are starting up every day. So it may seem overwhelming if you're not familiar with how to find and listen to podcasts that might interest you.
But actually, it's pretty simple. Both Apple and Android mobile phones have a podcast app pre-installed.
On the iPhone
If you have an iPhone, you should have a purple app called "Apple Podcasts."
Click on it and use the browse feature to find podcasts in a variety of categories. Or use search to enter keywords or specific podcast titles.
Try searching for our podcast by typing in Keep and Bear Radio.
Once you've found a podcast, you can listen to episodes and subscribe to be notified when new shows are published.
On the Android
Android phones also have a podcast app, with multiple colors, called "Google Podcasts."
It works pretty much like the iPhone app, letting you browse or search. Again, try searching for Keep and Bear Radio.
And of course, you can subscribe so you don't miss any episodes.
There are tons of other podcast apps out there, but if you're new to all this, you should just stick to what your phone has pre-installed for now.
