Cincinnati-area: Man uses gun to stops home invasion assault
WLWT (NBC Cincinnati) is reporting that a man was forced to use a gun to stop a home invasion in Mt. Healthy.
From the article:
Officials said Gregory Lyle, 33, entered through the window of the home and assaulted his ex-girlfriend who was inside.
A man living in the house saw Lyle and shot him. Lyle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said the investigation is ongoing and there is no threat to the public.
Authorities say Lyle had open warrants and was the subject of prior domestic violence calls at the home.
Under Ohio's Castle Doctrine law, if someone unlawfully enters or attempts to enter an occupied home or temporary habitation, or occupied car, citizens have an initial presumption that they may act in self defense, and will not be second-guessed by the State.
