Columbus-area: Man uses gun to stop home invasion assault

WSYX (ABC Columbus) is reporting that a man was forced to use his gun to stop two armed attackers when they attempted to invade his home.

From the article:

A 911 caller stated he had heard a knock on the front door, and he shot an armed man who attempted to push his way into the apartment, police said. The caller also saw a second man running away.

Paramedics transported the injured man to Mount Carmel East Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators were questioning the resident and another occupant.

Under Ohio's Castle Doctrine law, if someone unlawfully enters or attempts to enter an occupied home or temporary habitation, or occupied car, citizens have an initial presumption that they may act in self defense, and will not be second-guessed by the State.
