Bank your vote! Early voting for gun owners in Ohio

For many years, those who support gun control have had a huge advantage in voting because they have encouraged their supporters to vote early, either in-person or absentee by mail. This gives them significantly more time to pile up votes. Plus it helps voter activation groups focus their efforts only on those who have not voted as elections get closer.

Let's face it; this is a smart tactic. And we need to stop giving them this advantage.

What happens if your car breaks down? If you get sick? If something comes up and you can't vote on Election Day? Voting early helps to ensure your voice is heard and pro-gun candidates receive your support no matter what. So BFA urges you to VOTE EARLY. You can vote early in-person at your local Board of Elections or by mail when you request a mail-in ballot.

2024 Election Dates

Sept. 20 - Military and overseas absentee voting begins
Oct. 7 - Deadline to register to vote
Oct. 8 - Early in-person and absentee voting begins
Nov. 5 - Election Day

Register to Vote

You must be registered at least 30 days before Election Day in order to vote, and your address must be current.

Check if you are registered at your current address.

If you are not registered to vote, or if you need to update your address, you can do it online, by mail, or in-person.

Register to vote online.
Download the registration form and mail it in.
Look up your local board of elections and go in-person. You can also register at Ohio BMV offices, public high schools, and libraries.

Ask for a mail-in ballot at any time. Get your request in as soon as possible!

Vote Your Gun Rights

It's true that Buckeye Firearms Association has helped transform Ohio into one of the best states for gun rights in the nation over recent years. But don't think that means we can relax. We must continue to fight in the Statehouse and at the ballot box to defend our victories. Gun control advocates are not giving up, and neither can we.
