Police issue warrant in bank robbery
AKRON - Police have issued a warrant for an Akron man wanted in Monday afternoon's robbery at FirstMerit bank, 727 N. Main St.
Michael Karpinski, 29, of Mount Vernon Avenue is wanted on an aggravated robbery charge.
According to police, the robber handed a teller a note indicating he had a gun and a pipe bomb and demanded money.
Police said the robber was last seen riding a bicycle east on Tallmadge Avenue.
