Tale of Two Retail Stores
The following OhioCCW news submissions were both received on the same day, and both address an Ohio retail store and their decisions about the posting of "no-guns" signs...
Death of a Clark Station
Submitted by: Jeff M.
A small Clark gas station in Lockland (near Cincinnati) always had a good price
on gas, if there is such a thing. For the neighborhood it's in, one would think
twice about putting up an anti-gun sign, but they did. It was recently decided
by the owner to close down the business due to break-ins and too many times
being robbed. Some people just can't see the writing on the wall, but
apparently the bad guys did. Friday is their last day in business and today the
alcoholic beverages were at half price. Funny thing, all the advertising and
miscellaneous signage was out of the windows except...that's right, the
anti-gun sign was the only thing still on the glass.
They Took The Signs Down

I went to "Only Diamonds" this winter and they had a NO GUNS sign on the door, so I asked to see the manager. I asked him why? He said it was not up to him, but as we were speaking I told him the signs only put his employees and himself as well as the customers in danger, and that if there were no signs then at any given time there could be multiple security guards armed and on duty to protect everyone that chooses not to protect themselves. He took the signs down and they have remained down as of today. So I recommend if you have jewelry to buy for a loved one, you do it at "Only Diamonds" in N. Canton on The Strip. God Bless America!
Unfortunately for customers of "Only Diamonds", however, they're going to have a hard time getting to the store, given that The Strip posts "no-guns" signs at all parking lot entrances.
Contact information provided to OFCC by one of the retail tenants at The Strip as follows:

Contact information for these and other dangerous locations is available in OFCC's Do Not Patronize While Armed database.
