Former opponents say hearings on campaign violations may not happen
Lingering accusations from the tight November race that saw State Sen. Jeffry Armbruster narrowly defeat Democratic challenger Sue Morano have been set for a hearing before the Ohio Elections Commission on March 6.
Political operatives from both parties say the hearing might never take place.
“We’re willing to work it out,” said Scott Borgemenke, a consultant to the Republican Senate Campaign Committee. “We’re not pushing it.”
Morano’s campaign manager, Jack Kilroy, echoed those thoughts.
“It’s being discussed and will probably be resolved this week,” he said.
