Buckeye Firearms Assoc. addresses Cincy's Blue Chip Young Republicans

More than 30 people attended the January meeting of the Cincinnati-based Blue Chip Young Republicans, which featured legislative updates from Buckeye Firearms Association volunteer Region Leader Collin Rink and Attorney John Fenton.

The speakers discussed who is qualified and how to obtain a CHL, Ohio Self-Defense law and the potential for improvements, as well as HB347. After the presentation, there was time for a question and answer period. In the end, 22 attendees signed up for concealed carry classes!

"Visiting with this group was an eye opening experience," said Rink. "Being fairly young myself, it was very encouraging to see how passionate this group of people is about politics, and how much they value the right of self-defense. Already the Blue Chip Young Republicans have had members elected to Cincinnati City Council, various township offices, and judgeships. I am sure they will continue to be a conservative force in the Cincinnati area."

Buckeye Firearms Association endorsee and Congresswoman Jean Schmidt will be the guest speaker at the next Blue Chip Young Republicans meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, February 27th at O'Byron's Pub. Details can be found on the organization's website.
