BOOK: An Introduction to Security Emergency Planning for Faith Based Organizations
Recently, Buckeye Firearms Association Vice Chairman Chad Baus wrote about the "Security for Faith-Based Organizations Seminar" that is being offered at greater Cincinnati's Creation Museum. Baus recently had the chance to attend the seminar, and his complete review of the seminar will soon be published by USCCA's Concealed Carry Magazine.
In response to requests from faith-based organizations around the country (many of whom are located at distances that do not easily allow for sending a delegation to the seminar), Answers in Genesis has published a guidebook to help these organizations take the first steps towards assessing risk and establishing security and emergency plans, which are critical to reducing liability and keeping those who come in to worship safe, as well as those who travel around the world on mission trips.
Faith based organizations are “at risk” institutions and by their very nature are often not prepared to deal emergencies as the secular business world. This guidebook, as with the lectures we have been presenting, will help establish “first steps” which are often the most difficult to undertake.
