Buckeye Firearms Assoc. endorsees dominate leadership positions in State Senate
Buckeye Firearms Association endorsees have been elected by Republicans and Democrats to a majority of leadership positions in their respective caucuses for the 128th General Assembly.
Republicans have reelected Sen. Bill Harris as Senate President. Harris has held the top leadership position in the Senate since 2005, and is a former endorsee of this political action committee.
Other Republicans elected to leadership positions are Sen. Tom Niehaus, President Pro Tempore; Sen. Keith Faber, Majority Floor Leader; Sen. Mark Wagoner, Majority Whip - all are also former endorsees of Buckeye Firearms Association.
On the Democrats' side, caucus members picked former Buckeye Firearms Association endorsee Sen. Capri Cafaro as minority leader, with Sen. Shirley Smith serving as her assistant and Sen. Ray Miller and former Buckeye Firearms Association endorsee Sen. Jason Wilson serving as minority whip and assistant minority whip, respectively.
Senate Republicans will face a new dynamic in this General Assembly - a House controlled by the opposite party. Fortunately, Buckeye Firearms Association endorsees will also hold a majority of leadership positions among House Democrats.
Gun owners are encouraged to contact these Senators, congratulate them on their appointments, and express your hope that pro-gun legislation will take center stage in the 128th General Assembly.
