Buckeye Firearms Association attends 13th Annual "Save Our Heritage" Rally, reminds attendees of Mike DeWine's record on guns
Several members of Buckeye Firearms joined hunters, anglers and trappers from across that state at the recent United States Sportsman's Alliance's 13th Annual "Save Our Heritage" Rally held at the Aladdin Shrine Temple on September 26th.
The event, as always, was well organized and guns, hunting trips and other outdoors accessories were given away by the truckload.
Ohio Governor Ted Strickland was the keynote speaker, making a return from his first speaking appearance at the event as governor in 2007.
Governor Strickland's remarks were a highlight of the evening, and he got a rousing ovation when he stated that while governor he will veto any anti-hunting or anti-gun bill that reaches his desk.
Rob Portman, candidate for U.S. Senator, also spoke in support of hunting rights and told a heartfelt story about what hunting means to his family.
Also in attendance was Ohio Attorney General Candidate Dave Yost, who is running against Mike DeWine, a long-time enemy to gun owners. Buckeye Firearms Association took the opportunity to remind those attending the event of DeWine's past anti-gun sins. (And so can you with your friends - download the fact sheet here!)
Other Rally highlights included live and silent auctions, including the auction of black lab puppies and too many outdoor related items to count.
Being in the company of so many outdoor enthusiasts in the best part of attending the event. If you're looking for a good time among fellow outdoorsmen, attending the USSA banquet is an excellent event where lots of great prizes are given away. It's also a great way to support an excellent cause and an excellent chance to support a group that supports us.
USSA has a long history of fighting to protect our hunting and shooting sports and Buckeye Firearms Association is proud to be affiliated with such a great organization.
