Is no 'Defense' Walk news good news for these Ohio media outlets?

To read the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Akron Beacon Journal, or Youngstown Vindicator, you'd think there has been no "new" news on the concealed carry effort in the days since the Supreme Court ruling.

That's because these three papers have neglected to cover what has been treated by the rest of the state's media as a major news story.

They failed to cover the statewide 'Defense' Walk movement in Columbus, Dayton, or Lima, as well as a coming Walk in Senate President Doug White's hometown of Manchester.

They have also not yet said a word about a Walk scheduled to be held in a Northeast Ohio neighborhood - the Cleveland suburb of Lorain.

They haven't covered the fact that the state's largest cowboy action shooting club (based in Northeast Ohio) will be walking in full cowboy regalia on Sunday to illustrate Ohio's Old West open carry law.

Dayton-area Walk Organizer Larry Moore faced similar news blackout from the Dayton Daily News. He learned that the editors specifically decided not to cover the news of the Walk in advance, because they did not want to promote open carry or encourage Walk attendance.

Is there a similar agenda driving the news blackout at these Northeast Ohio major media outlets?
