Ohio concealed carry licensee says he was forced to defend against three attackers
Cincinnati.com is quoting a police report which says that a man was shot Saturday during a mid-day assault on a concealed handgun license (CHL) holder in the suburb of North College Hill.

Officers responded to the 6500 block of Betts Avenue at approximately 11:45 a.m. for reports of a shooting.
In a press release, North College Hill police reported Verlin Stone, who possesses a concealed carry permit, was located when police arrived.
Verlin stated he opened fire while he was being assaulted by a man and two women, according to the release.
The man who was shot, identified in another report as the licensee's neighbor, was driven to Mercy West Hospital, then transferred to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. he is expected to survive. Mr. Stone was reportedly also hospitalized for injuries he sustained in the altercation.
On their Facebook page, the North College Hill police department stated that Mr. Stone said he was assaulted by his neighbor and knocked to the ground, where the assault by the neighbor and two females continued and intensified.
Mr. Stone stated after recovering to his feet he began to disengage but the neighbor advanced on him again. Mr. Stone stated he was scared he may have a weapon and fired one round from his firearm at the male neighbor.
At this time, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, but the investigation continues.
