Ohio Primary Election Results - a good day for gun owners
The results are in, and it was a very encouraging night for Ohio gun owners in the races for which Buckeye Firearms Association made endorsements and recommendations.
Overall, we are extremely pleased with the outcome of the primary contests we saw as important for Ohio gun owners.
As usual there were several examples which proved just how crucial pro-gun Ohioans' involvement in their party primaries can be in nominating pro-gun candidates.
On the Republican ballot in House District 35, Buckeye Firearms Association endorsed Ron Maag for State Representative. Mr. Maag, who was vastly outspent by his primary opponent, proved that grassroots beats big money, beat his closest oppoent by 531 votes out of 16,553 votes cast.
In House District 53, a race featuring three pro-gun candidates, the top two vote-getters are currently separated by just 37 votes, pending automatic recount.
Special thanks to those of you who supported one or more of our endorsed candidates, both by volunteering for their campaigns and for giving them your vote on Election Day.
