Op-Ed: RTC Holder Stops Mass Shooting

By Wayne LaPierre

Just a few weeks ago, Georgia Governor Sonny Purdue signed legislation that extends Right-to-Carry into restaurants across the state. Of course, anti-gun politicians and opponents of Right to-Carry have been busy making the same outrageous claims we've heard for decades: It'll make restaurants more dangerous, how can we tell if someone's carrying, and on and on.

Those critics should take a look at what happened in the town of Winnemucca, Nevada not long ago.

[From the story:]

Deputies say about 2:25 a.m., 30-year-old Ernesto Villa Gomez walked into the bar and starting shooting. 20-year-old Jose Torres and his 19-year-old brother Margarito Torres were killed. When Villa Gomez was reloading his semi-automatic gun, a man from Reno took out a gun and shot Villa Gomez. That man has a concealed weapons permit.

The unidentified man who shot Villa Gomez is not expected to be charged in this incident; law enforcement call it a justifiable homicide.

...The Player's Bar & Grill was full of about 300 people.

...That customer is a Right-to-Carry holder who was in the right place at the right time. He didn't make that restaurant more dangerous. He saved lives.
