President Harris: HB347 to see action before year-end
From a recent edition of the Hannah Report:
- "Senate President Bill Harris said there are no immediate plans to bring the Senate back in August or September, preferring to let his members stay in their districts over the summer. Bills that will be on the agenda before year's end
align="right"> include the capital bill, concealed carry reform, energy policy, sexual predator changes, and the possibility of legislation dealing with the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District."
While it will be welcome news to many that Senate President Bill Harris (pictured as he recently appeared in a reading promotion for Richland County libraries, holding Charlton Heston's autobiography, In The Arena) intends to address HB347 before the end of the year, many grassroots activists who recall the poisoning of pro-gun legislation during past lame duck sessions are saying they want to know what form HB347 is going to take before they accept invitiations to volunteer for various re-election campaigns.
