For the second time in three days, The Ohio State University Police Department has issued a Crime Alert for the campus area.
This is exactly why college students and faculty SHOULD be able to carry firearms on campus.

7/28/07: Sandusky, Ohio: Man Kills Woman, Self On Beach As Officer Questions Them

As the officer tried to talk to the couple, Larry Barnett Jr., 25, turned and shot his girlfriend, Rachelle Baskey, 24, in the head, then shot himself, according to Sandusky police.
Second Amendment activists have stated for a long time that we cannot expect the police to protect us. This incident helps prove our point that we cannot always count on the police to protect us, even when they are on scene!
7/27/07: Cleveland, Ohio: Armed Men Carjack Chevy On West Side This Morning

Two of the three robbers were armed at 5 a.m., when they approached the driver of a 1991 Chevrolet Caprice Classic at West 104th Street and Clifton Boulevard, police said.
Another violent incident in the city that has declared war on LEGAL gun owners INSTEAD of violent criminals.
7/26/07: Westerville, Ohio: Teens Accused Of Plotting Attacks On Church, 2 Restaurants
From the article:
Police in Westerville outside Columbus said the two boys planned to use pipe bombs and to chain the doors of the church and restaurants before shooting people inside.
Under Ohio law, a concealed handgun license (CHL) holder may carry in a place of worship if they obtain permisson. This incident proves why we should be able to carry in places of worship and that prohibiting guns only creates a victim zone.
