Senate Committee Postpones Hearing/ Vote on "Castle Doctrine" Legislation
Last week we were pleased to announce that Senate Bill 184, Ohio's Castle Doctrine bill, had been added to the Senate Judiciary Committee on Criminal Justice's agenda for Wednesday and Thursday of this week for the purpose of adopting amendments and voting on a substitute bill.
Unfortunately, Buckeye Firearms Association has received word that committee chairman Tim Grendell has run into an unexpected, unavoidable conflict this week that necessitates a postponement of this week's Senate hearings.
A companion Castle Doctrine bill, House Bill 264, is still scheduled to be heard by the House Criminal Justice Committee on Thursday, March 13 beginning at 9:30 a.m. in Statehouse Room 121.
Stay tuned to BuckeyeFirearms.org for news on when Chairman Grendell reschedules the Senate hearings.
