Senator Rob Portman & Congressman Bob Latta brave January cold for Northwest Ohio pheasant hunt
It is very difficult for our elected representatives in Washington D.C. to get a day off - so much so that when Ohio's U.S. Senator Rob Portman (R) and northwest Ohio's U.S. Congressman Bob Latta (R) found a Saturday morning free, even temperatures well below freezing couldn't stop them from spending some time afield.
Sen. Portman & Rep. Latta are pictured with Brad & Ann Dysinger, owners of Thorn Bottom Hunting, an absolutely superb place to hunt game birds in northwest Ohio. The Dysingers brag of having the "Best Cover Anywhere," and back up their claim with farms that include wetlands, brush piles, oxbows, woods and food plots.
A few years ago I was fortunate to have participated in a hunt with then-Senate candidate Portman at Thorn Bottom, and I had such a good time that I never thought it would take me so long to get back there. Cold or not, had my schedule allowed I'd have been right there with them on this January morning!
