Tale of Two Cities: Cincinnati armed robber at large; Atlanta robber in jail
Hamilton County authorities are still looking for the man who robbed the Graeter's Ice Cream parlor at 3301 Westbourne Drive, Green Township.
A black man in his early 20s armed with a handgun entered the store about 6:50 p.m. on Tuesday and demanded money from the cashier.
He took an undetermined amount of cash and fled on foot, heading south on Westbourne Drive.
Meanwhile, in a state that allows its law-abiding citizens to carry a concealed handgun for self-defense, a shockingly different outcome resulted when a man attempted to rob a laundromat:
The Atlanta Constitution, Atlanta, GA
Informed of a holdup in progress at the laundry next door, Jasper Kemp of Atlanta, Ga., took a pistol and ran to the scene. He got the drop on the robber as he came out, a gun in one hand and a bag of money in the other. When officers arrived, Kemp had the suspect leaning against a wall.
• Could the lifting of Ohio's unconstitutional ban on carrying a concealed weapon for self-defense have prevented this armed and dangerous criminal from walking free?
