Two people were slashed across the throat in an incident Thursday night at a local barbershop, NBC 4's Mike Bowersock reported.
The slashings happened at about 7 p.m. at the First Clips at the corner of College and Livingston avenues.
One man, believed to be a barber, was found inside the shop. His throat had been slashed with a razor from ear to ear. The 28-year-old man was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition.
A 25-year-old man, believed to be a customer, ran to a nearby gas station after the incident. His throat was also slashed with a razor. He was transported to Grant Medical Center in stable condition.
Police do not have a motive for the slashings. They said they are not ruling out robbery. The barbershop was supposed to close at 6 p.m., according to a sign at the shop.
