Two opportunities to rub elbows with your elected officials this weekend
There are two great opportunities for Ohio gun rights activists to get to know their elected officials this weekend.
Ohio Attorney General and gubernatorial-hopeful Jim Petro is inviting constituents to attend the 19th Annual Petro Pancake Breakfast in the Cleveland area.
From the invitation:
- This year's special guest is Commissioner Phil Heimlich (Hamilton County), who is running as Jim's Lt. Governor in 2006. Please take this opportunity to come meet Phil and his family.
When: Sunday November 6, 2005
Time: 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Where: Don Umerley Civic Center, 21212 Hilliard Blvd. in Rocky River
Commissioner Heimlich took a concealed carry course last Spring and told the Cincinnati Post that he would be applying for his license to carry. The pancake breakfast would offer an excellent opportunity to ask how a Petro/Heimlich administration would deal with issues of concern to Ohio gun owners.
Also, please don't forget Linda Walker's Central Ohio Meet & Greet in Pickerington Sunday evening, where Rep. Jim Aslanides is planning to address attendees on how they can help promote passage of House Bill 347, the sweeping firearms law reform legislation he introduced a few weeks ago.
