VIDEO: John Lott challenges study claiming U.S. leads in mass shootings

Many mainstream news outlets have been reporting that America has more mass shootings than any other country. And, of course, they lament that this proves we need more gun control.

CNN has claimed that "the U.S. has the most mass shootings." The Wall Street Journal says that the "U.S. leads the world in mass shootings." And it's no surprise that former President Obama has made claims about how America has more mass shootings than other countries.

However, what no one in the mainstream media tells you is that this claim is based on just one study by Adam Lankford. Interestingly, Lankford will not release his data to other gun researchers, or as far as we know, to anyone.

Economist John Lott, author of More Guns Less Crime, and head of the Crime Prevention Research Center, argues that Lankford's study is deeply flawed.
