For a lot of beginner and intermediate concealed carriers, coming home can mean it's time to put away the gun holster and lock up firearms. Especially those with families and young ones, there can be a solemn desire to make home a home and leave the dangers of the outside world behind.

Unfortunately, this mentality can set you up for failure further down the road. We'll explore five reasons why wearing your concealed carry holster and firearm in the house is a great choice.

1. You Never Know When You'll Need to Respond

Home burglars and intruders rarely check to see if you're ready. It's going to be a bad day to be stuck with your concealed carry firearm in the next room. While home is usually thought of as a place of peace and tranquility, criminals may not view it as such. And because they don't, you can't.
